I PROPERLY INSTALLED A MULTI CARD DRIVE IN MY 2000XL AND I KEEP GETTING " ERROR AT 0000:BFF2. " DOES ANYONE KNOW WHY I GET THIS ERROR? DO I NEED TO DOWNLOAD A PATCH OR SOMETHING? I WOULD APPRECIATE ANY HELP ANYONE COULD GIVE ME WITH THIS.

THANKS

I INSTALLED O.S. 1.2 AND I STILL GET THE SAME ERROR MESSAGES. I THINK THE PLACE I BOUGHT THE MULTICARD DRIVE FROM SHIPPED ME ONE THAT IS DEFECTIVE. I SPOKE WITH THEM AND THEY SAY IT SOUNDS LIKE THAT MAY BE THE PROBLEM. HOPEFULLY THEY WILL PROVIDE ME WITH A REPLACEMENT DRIVE THAT FUNCTIONS PROPERLY. ANYWAY, I THANK YOU FOR THE TIME YOU TOOK TO ATTEMPT TO HELP ME OUT. I TRULY APPRECIATE IT.

PEACE & HAPPY HOLIDAYS

check the ribbon cable that it isn't inserted upside down.
I know most of 'em today have a notch on the connector so it can be inserted only one way.

you know i recently had the same Error read when changing Zipdrives

I put in a 250mb Zipdrive by iomega
and when i put in a Zip i heard the MPC load the ZIP and
when i went to LOAD/SAVE ERROR:0000BBF2 I saw this error....

I talked to some DUMMY at Akai "NOT PRO"suport NO HELP i talked to Stevie at VST and he said its a BAD Zip Drive...or bad cables....

It frustrates the heck out of me.... Im driving to VST ... im tired of dealing with it....

Not all MCD's will work with the MPC2KXL. What model MCD, and where did you get it from?

I have the same problem too. I bought mines from mpcstuff.com. I install the card reader into my XL and get an error symbol. HOW CAN THIS BE FIXED!!!!
