Hey everyone...
I'm a long-time MPC 2000 user, I have 2 that I bought when they were released.
I'm running both on the 1.72 OS, and lately more and more, I've been getting a "READ DISK ERROR" or something along those lines, when I start up the machine.
Is there a way to bypass the floppy drive to load the OS? I remember years ago hearing about a way to permanently load the OS into the MPC, or another way where the OS is loaded off of the ZIP drive.
Is anyone familiar with this? If I'm getting those warnings more and more via the floppy, are my floppy drives just going? I've made a few spare disks of the OS, as it seems to help to use new ones from time to time.
Any help would be dope. Thanks.
