Hey I was just wondering I've noticed everytime I start a project with a simple drum pattern and then I get on my turntables and sample something off a record and edit it and all that why does sometimes by drum pattern that I had it looping disapear? I know it probrably has to do with when I hit create a new program when I edit my sample but what happens if I dont hit create a new program? How do I find the samples I chopped and assign it to pads? where does my sample go? and another thing when I try to get another sample from a different record and try to work with it the previous recorded sample dissapears, what am I doing wrong? and where are my previous made drum loop I made? am I not suppose to deal with drums until after I record a sample and start making tracks? I want to use the samples over my drum loop. thanks you guys.

All new samples go at the end of the line. So, in order to find them and add them to your existing pgm, all you need to do is go in the pgm screen, shift+6, then hit the pad where you want your new chop to be and go where you see the OFF text (always on the ASSIGN screen) and turn the rotary all the way to the right. That way, the new chop should appear at the end and you will have it assigned nice and good.

New pgms automatically get assigned as drum1. Old program that WAS drum1 is now drum2. Change the drum banks back to normal, 2kxl manual, pg 113.
