downloaded drum kits

wuts up people. i have a mpc 2000xl. my problem is that whenever i download a drum kit and it comes programmed. i try loading the program and it says an error wrong format. i've tried this with different programs. even the ones from akaipro. please let me know how i can resolve this issue. any help is greatly appreciated. thanks.

what format are the files you're loading? are they .pgm files?

the sounds are waves and the program is a pgm file. its driving me crazy.

im not too sure how to resolve the issue, but can you just take the wavs and manually load them onto the pads yourself?

Hmmmm, try loading all the wav files first and THEN load the pgm without loading the sounds (so it wont replace what has been loaded already).

You shoule be fine.

dig for your drums..thats where its at....

Maybe he is havin the issue I was - if he is using a classic and not an XL that is.

PGMs on a classic can't load wav files, they need .snd format files.

MPC Editor ftw. Even if you aren't using a classic, it may be worth it to load the pgms in MPC Editor and then export them to disk and try again.
