Saving sounds disk read error

Hi, is there a size limit on sounds you can save? I could easily save small drum breaks but when trying to save bigger sounds, usually like 700kb+, i hear the drive making noise and then it reads disk read error.

Well, you can't save files bigger than the medium you're saving on obviously...

For a HD floppy that's about 1MB...But on my XL I got some disk full message, not a read error...

Oh i have a zip drive.. the disk is 100MB.

And you're sure you aren't going over that 100mb? Are you saving to a disk that already has sounds on it or saving to a blank? etc

Have you tried any other disks?

if he was trying to save and he was out of space, it wouldnt give a disk read error. it would give an insufficient space message.

have you tried turning your zip drive off then back on again? have you tried using a different disk?

Switched disks and i finally got it to save.. but i had to run through a good 5 . Guess the problem is 100disks working with a 250 drive?

Ive seen that problem a lot
