Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

I don't want to shut the MPC off right now, but I might be out of luck. I have a beat I just don't want to lose but here is the issue.

On my screen it's showing all these crazy #'s and at the bottom it says..

Header, Event, Bar, Tempo, Reg
F1 F2 F3 F4 F6

And it's playing all my sounds on the pad but I can't get them to stop or get rid of that screen. I was able to move the scroll wheel and it changed some of those #'s but now I can't do that. Is their anyway to fix this? Or am I shit outta luck and also, is their an issue with the MPC now?

it's a system error. it happens occasionally. nothing to do but reboot your mpc. if you are able to playback your beat then record it and recreate it after you've rebooted. that's your only option.

when i get system errors, i always try to shut off the mpc, and turn it back on as quickly as possible. if u do it quick enough, the mpc wont reboot, but the system error may go away and you programs & sequences will be in tact.

Really? I didn't know that. I would always shut off my machine and cut it back on. Good to know.
