play and record at the same time workaround?

how do you workaround the sample record issue? (so you can play your beat and record a sample at the same time). I usually use one of the stereo outs of the keyboard to go straight to the mixer and the other to go to the mp but this is lazy and obviously I am only sampling in mono then.

i dont do this but when i get the money for wat i need i was thinkin about just playin my guitar part to a metronome the same tempo as the beat, hit start sample, when the metronome clicks on the 1 start playin and when you chop out the extra time in the beggining/end it should be a good loop. there is probably a much easier route than this tho.

I also saw some dude on youtube from france recording onto the computer while the beat was playing then transfer it to the MPC.

Man, that's the one function missing on the 2000 that almost made me get a 2500 !
Sampling while playing would make my life much more easy. A lot more !

What i do is record the beat to one mono channel and the stuff that needs to be sampled to
another mono channel ( before a computer entered my house i used DAT , video and even cassetes for this ) So when i go back to sample the stuff from the recording i always have the beat playing on the other channel. Handy with stuff that was played off beat because you can exactly pinpoint the spot it was played, and reproduce it in the MPC.

I have an Ensoniq EPS which has the ability to preview samples and play at the same time, so I sample into that if I need to. I mostly use the MPC to sample though.
