Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

How good is the quality of the internal zip drive that now comes with the MPC 2000? I ordered an MPC 2000 XL without the internal zip drive and I've been searching for an external SCSI zip drive for it. I decided against getting the MPC with the internal zip drive because I was concerned about the quality of it and if something were to go wrong with the internal zip drive then you would have to ship the whole unit in for repair instead of just replacing an external zip drive if something go's wrong with it.

But now after doing more research it seems as though its harder to find an external SCSI zip drive that can interact safely with the MPC.

Are my concerns valid? Should I exchange the MPC I'm getting without the internal zip drive and get the MPC with the internal zip drive or should I stick to my original plan?

Thanks....

Well I have an internal Zip on my 2000xl and I dont have any problems at all as long as you perform all of your program functions correctly and
Dont leave your disk in the drive once you load you should be good
if I were you I would get the internal Zip and you can always use an
extra external to store your data also hey make the most out of it. 8)

That's a very good idea. I'll get the one with the internal zip disk and have the SCSI external as a back up of use it with the MPC for the additional function that you mentioned. Thanks
