Some of the realest $hit ever said on these threads, for real.... first of all, if that cat was as whack as yall claiming he is, he wouldnt have 4 pages of BS hating... MOST PRODUCERS THAT HATE ARE THE ONES THAT DONT HAVE HOT $HIT AND DONT RESPECT OTHERS TALENT. Producers make great music out of what ever they may have, whether it be a MPC, Fruity Loops, Reason, a Boss Drum Machine, or etc....

and dont try to front me and tell me I dont know crap cause i havent been on these threads until recently when the new MPC dropped, trying to get the low down cause i been grindin my a$$ off engineering and producing in major studios in ATL and my production company. So we getting it. I got Royalty Checks. Some of yall might need a definition of what that is.

Personally, I like what the cat has to offer, respect his talent, and definitely enjoy watching him have fun while doing it. I definitely wish him much success... and the rest of yall, but stop the HATING!!!!

Thats ridiculous!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And last but not least, while yall over here hating, Boon has the numbers to prove his $hit is on point, most of yall dont. Jay-Z said it best at an awards show, "Men Lie, Women Lie, The numbers dont" or something like that. So his numbers on youtube are lookin good, and so are the haters on these forums.... the greater you become, the more haters you will get, so take a look at yourself in the mirror, are you a great one or are you a hater?
If you got some stupid sh..t to say to this, then its obvious

Everyone has an opinion, but if its not a valid negative opinion, kill ya self.... cause it aint an opinion, its more or less hatin

Opinions come with reasons on why you dislike or even like something... the sh..t most of yall saying is just "i can do that"

At the end of the day, its all about the numbers, aka the consumers, aka the Dollars...

REAL TALK!!! And thanks. I don't know how people can be so comfortable doing it.... 'cause I can't even manage to hate and criticize other cats out there trying to do the same thing. Whether I feel their music or not really doesn't matter at all. If I'm feelin' someone's music... I definitely let them know. If I'm not... I just keep it to myself, 'cause it's childish and a waste of time trying to explain why I don't feel them while I don't even know them personally and vice versa. Nobody can please everybody. I don't expect everyone's music to fit my taste, and I sure don't expect MY music to fit everyone's taste. That's just me though, lol.

Is it? Is your music an art form, a product/commodity or a combination of both? Most likely a combination, but where the balance lies depends on your views of artistic integrity.

You are correct... but as i stated previously, most people that are out grindin tryna get it or grindin in the lab to keep makin that hot stuff, arent busy tryna hate and degrade another producers music.

Personally, im a musician off top first... that the way i was raised.... then Im a producer. Therefore, i relax by creating what i feel to please myself and own creative thoughts. As a Producer working with an Artist, I have to provide a leveling point that will express both my music and the artist lyrics as a full time producer(meaning i eat, sleep, and live off of this). When people go to there 9-5, they gotta do things to meet goals for their company. The same thing if you are working in Entertainment, you gotta please the people that will be consuming your music(its not useful to have a production that people dont want, but only you feel).

u CAN'T BE mad at boondoc cause isn't that what the mpc 2000xl is for? Sampling... Looping the sample and adding percussion and other samples to the loop.. or you can go the chop route.. sample something loop it perfectly and chop it up now you have the bpm and then you can just have a beat playing at that specific bpm and just hit the chopped up sample in time with the already playing 16 bar beat..duhhh.. doesn't take a rocket scientist. dude does look amazing doing it ..well he looks amazing to people who don't know what he's doing and hear magic coming up out of the 1000..lmaooo.. my boy put me onto to his site cause my boy saw me with the 500.. he said.. dude is really good.. i went to it and said.. dude has a chopped sample on diff pads and he's tapping it to drum sounds he premade... uhh yeah...movies are not too amazing when you know how hollywood does special efx.. the Secret is out dA Bag hOMIE!!.. U BEEN FLIMFLAMMED.. BAMBOOZLED..HOODWINKED..LMAOOO

NO thats not just what the XL is for. Some people just use it as a sequencer to sequence thier workstations or Daw. Some people sample and add synth notes over the samples. You can use it a 100 different ways.
