Has anyone tried connecting a Roland DR-5 with an MPC 2000XL using MIDI cables? I have songs programmed on the former and would like to load them on to the MPC while avoiding sampling the sounds and re-programming the beats on the AKAI, a chore that would be a time-consuming pain-in-the-ass.
