Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

MFC42

is this thing worth the 150 bucks i have to spend to get it? or am i better off getting the FX board installed?
i really need more EQ than just the filter thats in my 2kXL, but i dont want to have to resample everything into my pc, tweak it and sample it again...so what do you guys think?
