complex question about saving

i have my scsi cd rom connected to my 2000xl so i can load sounds then i have to unplug the scsi cd rom to connect my 250mb zip drive so i can save my songs but when i try to load them back to the mpc no sounds load? can anyone tell me what im doing wrong? Thanks

When you save your songs, make sure you also have the program and sounds available on a disk as well. The song file doesn't save the sounds. Just what sounds are played and when. Stuff like that. It's Midi.

Why don't you connect the cd-rom and the zip drive(if its scsi) together? that the way i have it set up! from my mpcto the cd-rom then from the cd-rom to my zip drive then to my triton. and make sure when you save, you save under all pgm and sounds.

i think DITYNORTH is right...my MPC is hooked up with my ZIP drive AND my scsi CD-rom drive...and it's workin' fine for many years.....
