If I was just starting off in making music, I'd get the 1000 w/ the JJ OS. It's more computer friendly.

BTW... you should have posted this in the "MPC Comparison Forum". :wink:

As i'm only just finding out after a 4 year break from my MP, the 2kxl is very computer friendly once a card reader is installed. Probabaly not in the same league as a 1k but still a great addition to a classic machine. :)
