2000XL Flicker problem

this seems like a power supply thing to me
maybe a loose cable
maybe even there is a self resetting fuse in there - i know its silly but have you checked the mpc is ok with your voltage?

don't be afraid to open it, make sure it is unplugged and everything and unscrew the bottom and have a look to see if all cables are nice and secure

I cracked open the MPC today. Everything looked secure and in place.

After seeing the video I also think of the power supply. But would still try the things I wrote.

Do you have a volt meter? I guess you could disconnect the power cable that goes from the power supply to the mainboard and measure the voltage on the point were the cable is connected on the power supply.

Nope, don't have a volt meter. I'm gonna open it up again and remove the ram. I'm not sure where it is, I'm gonna have to find it.
