Weird sound issue, not sure what to call it.

I've been going through the forum pages (since I can't search for this), and can't find anything. I have a sequence setup that sounds great, but I noticed something (and I think it has happened before). When all the tracks are on, my bass track will mess up (the velocity screws up, even though it's set to 100%; the decay screws around, even drops a note or two now and then). I've even set the tracks to separate outs so that I can hear just the bass, and it still does the same thing. When I solo it, however, the track plays perfectly fine. That's what I got so far.

Specs:

MPC2000XL, originally floppy, removed and added CF reader. The memory is maxed out as-well.

Does anyone have any ideas?

That sounds about right. Would you (or anyone) have any tips on cleaning up everything (preventing this)?

If the MPC is the only sound module you own, you can only fix it by reducing the number of notes in your tracks. Or shift notes so that not too many sound at the same time. But that really sucks as a solution because it inhibits your music. The best solution is to chain one (or more) sound modules together via midi and offload some tracks to the other module(s). For instance, I use two Kurzweils, a Motif and an old Roland drum machine, all connected via midi.
