ERROR at 0000:D29C format compact flash 4gb???

Does the 2000xl works with 4gb or more? I bought a 4gb and when im trying to format in getting that crap: ERROR at 0000:D29C. Can somebody tell me what to do b4 i throw my shit thru the window?

By the way i was talking about Compact flash cards

Part 2 of my question would be if there's anyway or download to upgrade my mpc so it can be compatible with cf with more then 1gb?

Stick with 1GB or smaller CF cards for the MPC2000 and MPC2000XL. Anything else will be hit and miss.
