Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

i just copped the XL... is there anyway to import my sound files from my computer onto the XL?? i know the 1000 uses a USB cable is there anything similiar for the XL??

burn them to a disc and buy a scsi cd rom!

go here and read this...
You need a zip drive----an external scsi one or internal ide one for your MPC and a usb or whatever one for your pc or mac.....you can nnot burn cd's witht he mpc.....it will not work....a cd drive hooked up to the mpc will only read cd's-not burn them......

yeh im loking at getting an ext scsi cdrom. what they worth s/h in australia.

thx for the advice the XL i got has an internal Zip and i got an old zip for my computer will it be good?? what else is good to cop to help BLOW OUT MY XL!! thx for the help guys

Chill for now. You don't need more gear for at least another year :wink:

You can put sounds on the zip with your pc and load them in your mpc. If your getting sick of assigning each sample to a pad you head over to :

you may wanna look into the 8 outs and efx card too, they're getting harder to come by as time goes on........

i've been wondering about the 8 outs... what's it really do... i see 8 outs on the back of the XL.... how much is that scsi cd room piece go for?
