Mine only read AKAI discs for some reason.

Just dont put any of the files in subfolders and you should be kosher.

if im not mistaken i know that the non xl version reads snd only not wav. so mpc editor converts wav. to snd so how can i get them on a dics for the mpc to read? :? :? :?

The limitation as far as WAV goes with the standard MPC2000 is that they can only be loaded individually - you cannot load WAVs as part of a pgm or APS file.

An ISO9660 format CD should be read by your MPC. Why not experiement and see what works? It will only cost a few pence in CDRs.
