What internal zips are compatible with the 2000???

none, you cant put an internal zip into a regular classic mpc 2000.........you can put one into the xl...what you would need is a scsi zip drive or HD........

To have an external drive is not a bad solution, cuz SCSI is a fast standard, more than IDE.

External SCSI zips stopped being made a few years back but you can pick them up second hand really cheap. You can't really go wrong just connecting the cable. Fitting an internal one can be risky if you don't know exactly what you are doing..... check some of the other posts about opening up your MPC for general advice....& hear what went wrong for other users too!!!
