maybe your sample is not the same bpm as the time you desired.

Simple rules:
Follow the ones set here...
Next learn how to sample.
In your case, befor u sample, work out the bpm of it...Sample what you need...Loop it up....Set the SEQ BPM to match the BPM and length in bars of the sample then your good to go

You are saying you "sample at a tempo you want"......What do you mean by that? The sound you are sampling is at the tempo you want to work with on the MPC, or your MPC has been playing at a certain tempo & you want whatever you have sampled to automatically fit that tempo? Either way........sorry, it doesn't work like that.
Sampling on the MPC is totally seperate from the sequencing features. If you're working on a track at 105 bpm & then sample a break that is close to that, or you want to sample a two bar percussion riff that is around 125 bpm & then build a track around that, as BRAVO says, you've got to do the work to make the tempo fit.
When you've sampled something, the MPC doesn't know what sort of sound you've just put in it. If it is a two bar loop you've got to trim it properly, then go to the PARAMS menu & tell the MPC how many beats long your sample is. That will then show you the tempo of your sample.
Then you can tune it to fit your sequence or set the tempo of your sequence to fit that sample.
