MPC2000 monophony problems

Hello people. been searching the board for a similar problem but with no luck.

My mpc has the following problem.....inputwise and outputwise......

when i sample and set it to stereo the right channel only goes up to say 5/20 bars when the left channel will go up to say 18/20......same goes for when i play a sample(even if it has been recorded (correctly) in stereo......i can see form my mixer and also by hearing that the left channel will play fine and the right channel will barely play......

i have had my mates mpc round to check whether its a cable/mixer problem but his plays fine in the same setup...

any ideas?

so the right channel input AND output is not functioning? How about for example if you have a mono sample thats been sampled from the left input, it should be centered? That would be the best way to test the right output..
