A sampling MIDI sequencing TR808/TR909 hybrid (genuine analog and lo-fi digital drum sounds), possibly using the sampling engine from the S series samplers (12 bit) and extending the grid edit of the TR drum machines with the OS from Roland's early hardware sequencers such as the MC50/300/500 ..
.. that would have been bad ass.
I am not 100% sure, but roland did have rackmount sampling machines aswell.
Anyways they had the tb-303 so... .. ...... they did their part.
