Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

How can I use fruity loops and or reason with my mpc?
this is what i have:

mpc200xl, m-audio audiophile 2496 pci card one midi i/o 1 audio i/o, reason and fruity loops,which is a demo version...reason i dont know if its a demo it came with the m-audio card.i dont have a mixer...i basically wanna make drum beats with the mpc like i been doing and be able to add sounds from FL and reason..i dont know if ill need another program to bring them all together like a cubase, somebody help me get it together please..

You won't need another program to sync them. Just hook up midi cables & sort out midi syncing on both the MPC & the computer programs.

Do a search on this forum. There are loads of threads about syncing computers & MPCs

You say you don't have a mixer. You can probably connect the MPC's output to the soundcard's input & then have the soundcard's output going to your amp. That way you will hear the MPC going through the computer. There might be slight latency problems though.

It is probably better to invest in a mixer. If you are short on funds & space there are things like the tiny Behringer Eurorack mixers. Even a basic 2 channel DJ mixer will work if it has line level inputs.
