How would you go about this??

So I finally got a card reader and currently transfering (loading from zip then saving to cf, via mpc... NOT using pc) I still format the cards on the PC, but don't get the partitions while formatting on the PC. So in turn I'm using more cards. If I format on the mpc I get A &B partitions which is what I want but now not pc formatted...Any Ideas for this problem????




THEN!!!!! I have at least 9years of samples and alot of them are more then 8 characters long. So my mpc editor won't recongize them. I eventually want every sound I have backed up on my computer....But This sh!t is crazy ..I have been going through programs and renaming my samples & I finally had it! I have too many samples/sounds to do this. IS there an easier way to get all my samples on my computer then renaming them??????

Word! Thanx Lamp!!! That program is ill. AND FREE!!!!

I searched on here and found out you cannot partition CF cards on PC! But googled it and some say it is possible. wondering if anyone has been sucessful at doing this?

I just want A&B partitions on a 1gb CF card. I am also using a MPC classic.

Any help would be appreciated.

Why not just partition it with the MPC?

Also, I would recommend creating more partitions than just A & B. You can only load 512 sounds into a single partition using the Classic , and there is no way each sound will be almost 1 MB, so you end up losing out on card space that way. I used my MPC to partition a 1 GB card with the max amount of partitions (26) so that way it's basically as if I have folders.

I would recommend leaving partition A empty , as that is the only partition your computer will read , so use that as the "transfer" partition for the card.
