Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

how tight is the sound of the MPC2000? I cum from bosnien and i would like to buy a MPC2000, so i found a MPC with 32mb ram and a zip drive for 350dollars what else i need for it, 8 optional outs? and do the MPC2000 has some effects,(without the FX board) like reverb delay......?thanx :)

standard mpc2000 without fx board has no fx (logic no ? :D). You don't need 8outs to start with. Can come handy later once you want to mix out separate sounds.

look i have a modulizer, compressor and a eq so that i don't need the fx board em'i right? :?:

If you are happy with the efx you have now then indeed you won't need the fx board. But unless you apply fx to the whole mix of your mpc it would be wise to get the 8 out options board so you can add fx to the separate outs of your mpc via your mixing table.

if u got the compressor and that u dont really need the fx(its comes with reverb)but what pt3r said is right..in reality if u plan to go anywhere with music made thru the mpc then u need the 8 outs..but if your just bedroom banging then its not essential

Right. I'd buy it in a minute.
If you don't have anything to route 8 tracks to, there's not much point in getting the 8-out board.
It would make sense to get it later, once you have a mixer or multitracker. But you can still get the 8-out new for decent prices, so get the 2000 first.

i would like to thank ya all, for the helpfully informations i allready get the mpc but cheaper :D :D for 520 euros with 32mb of ram a zip drive 5 disks of sounds, and alot of cable. so the next question is where can i get some free sounds like kick,snare....to download. now i cut out the kicks...from diffrent songs...but i would like to download a cd rom disk speciali with MPC samples...where can i find it on the internet, here in Sarajevo the ''producers'' don't know what a MPC is...so that i can't ask them for a MPC sample cd.. :( :( :(

they makin beatz in diffrent kind of programs, like Reason, Fruity Loops :lol: :lol: :lol: only few producers now bout Cubase :shock: :shock: :shock: :shock: they work only with PCs, i hate digital sound :evil: :evil: .............ANALOG WILL LIVE FOR EVER BABY

mpc2000xl can read .WAV and .SND samples mpc2000 can only read .SND.

hold on i could connect my mixing console with the ins of my mpc and then record the sample in to my mpc, em i right? where can i find a program that send the wav format in to snd format?
