Best/Cheapest place to get a multi-card reader?

The one from vst is pretty expensive.

Can anyone reccommend others that work?

I got mine from vv and I can't complain. Shipped fast, works like a charm.

quadrant6, I got mine from amtron.com (see IISDMC). If you don't know already, you might be surprised at the cost of shipping. I think shipping via Fedex Express cost me about $45. I'm in Adelaide and got the drive in less than 4 days.

I got 3 Microtech PCD-47b SCSI card readers off eBay for $10 a pop. I had to upgrade the firmware on all three of them to enable them to write (as opposed to read only), but it was a good deal. Keep an eye out if you aren't opposed to online transactions, they pop up fairly often.

I got about a dozen from ebay for $5-10 each over the past few years. Sometimes I paid more in shipping than I did for the item.

I contacted vv but they don't ship to NZ unfortunately.

D@MN!! I got mine for $30 off of eBay. I had to change the firmware also but it was all worth it.

Sunking... Thats the same company I won the eBay auction from. I had a SCSI PCI card in an old computer running Win2000. I plugged the Microtec card reader into the SCSI PCI card and upgraded the firmware to be able to read and write to it.

I got mine from VST yesterday and I am very happy. I biggest reason I got that one is because of there custom made power cable. I looked online at the info on the upgrade and eveyone had a hacked together powercable and I didn't want to put that in my unit. I am worried the tape might come off and fry something inside.
