I decided to take it apart just for the h3ll of it.
I'm deciding whether or not to get the red or black pads.
It's just for the cosmetics of it.

IMO black would look best with the rest of the colors, if the cover was like yellow or black, red would look nicer..

That would be some sh*t if someone make a clear body cast for the MPC, but what would be the work around for the function letters?

Juke 197r,

Can you answer my question for the link I posted today? Trying to see if there is something wrong with my MPC2000XL? Keypad and soft key buttons recessed (sunken in) a bit as apposed to all the other buttons? Since you took yours apart do you have the same problem when ya machine is put back together?

I didn't notice a difference when I put mine back together. Try and unscrew and reposition the the top cover. Other than that, I don't know what to tell ya cheese toast.
Do your buttons still work?
