Im looking at the DIGI 002 Rack. Guitar Center around my way quoted me a price of 850 for a used one. 4 XLR ins, 4 TRS ins, 8 outs. Firewire

Sounds like what Im looking for, but what are some of you running with as far as hardware interfaces go?

I was also thinking about an all in one like the DPS24, so that the mix could be achieved and finalized in the same unit.

I was using the VS-1680 but my VS-2000 should be here Friday or Saturday so thats what i'll be using. ALso most of the track recorders they are makin now have a way to be utilized wit an computer if u want to keep that in your setup. But make sure u keep the Roland VS series in your mind cause they nice now.

No sweetie i will be using it for my production and recording. I do recording from time to time with various artist and i needed this machine so i can take shit to otha studios. The VS-1680 couldnt put out .wav files. So what u got on yo list now u checkin out? I'll see what i can do to help u decide. Also what all do u need to record?Just beats, vocals, ect...

What do you mean by "It couldnt put out wav files?" Are you satisfied with the efx on board the VS series as opposed to VST's and plug-ins you could use on a software multi-track like protools le or sonar? Im assuming so if your dropping close to 15 thou on it.

What i meant was it couldnt export or save to .wav files(1680). Also the VS-2000 allows 3 rd party plug ins and sh*t so i can get the plug ins i need. Also Roland has some of the sickest effects and hell yes i was impressed with them.

By the way I got one for 1175(VS-2000) and it came with the VGA and mouse expansion. Now tell me that aint a deal boo!! It should be here by either Friday or Saturday :D
