Million Dollar Question!

How does one turn off the midi Thru on the MPC 2000XL----- Midi thru is on on my MPC, adn I need to know how to turn it off! PLease...thank you!!

Because it's looping!!! Anytime i try to record something inside of Logic with the MPC with MPC sounds....with midi in and out for midi playback; when I hit a pad and the midi track is armed... the pad keeps looping really fast uncontrollably....it stops when I unarm the track! I talk to some ppl they said it was midi thru----- And thats why I am asking. It's apparently still the Million Dollar Question

Now what is the best way to set up the mpc with LOGIC---?? I got three other Keyboards...I wanna record their midi data...but I wanna record with the MPC but still keep that nice groove. Any Ideas????

just fuk logic off all together, use it to track down your audio at the end. and do all your sketching and sequencing on the mp.

I use the 2k classic w/ logic.
The way I do it is sketch out the majority of the beat on the MPC. Then enable midi time code in on the MPC. THen logic becomes the master. Then you can scroll around in logic, and the MPC will follow (make sure it's in Song mode) and track all yousoft synths or whatever. That way, you can bounce between working on your MPC or Logic.
Then when you're all done, you lock em and dump em.

cuz if you still havin trouble, this is what I did. You don't turn local control off on the mpc, you turn it off on the keyboard. If your using a roland keyboard, I had that problem before, and thats what did it for me. 1

Insightful....Weird shit is...anytime i had the MPC fully sync and i touched the FF or RW it would take me to this time code. 00:59:42:00:00 inside logic. it would just straight up bounce to that.....i think thats -8.1.1.1 bars and i dont know why

cant you set your start point in logic so that it stars at a certain point? not 00:59:42:00:00

audition used to do that but you can set your start "point" manually. i think thats what u mean....

I think...but my start point in logic is fine but any time i use MMC...and press FF or RW on my MPC it jumps to that in Logic! thats the spooky thing about this whole thing...
