lookin good man....the reason its brighter like that is because its brand new.. people are used to looking at the 20 year old light thats in there. it will dim out to be equally bright throughout..
the uv light in mine is crazy but its gotta go..really cool with the lights off but with the lights on its rough to see..so i think i'll go with aqua.

yo aqua would be crazy, with a black/purple or white/purple color scheme






i have an extra blue back light if anybody wants it for $5

im gunna paint it white and dot he buttons in purple/aqua/black scheme

im goin with a light metallic gun metal grey and a candy pearl blue.

im going with the original akai layout..the grey around the pads and padbank
and blue every where else.

im doing the original font in black,,,seems logical to me..

but instead of it saying "akai professional"
it will say "akai custom"

very simple yet stylish..

cant wait to see it all done up
