Mpc2000 or Mpc2000xl!?!??!

Another 2k warrior here! The 2k is my first MPC, totally happy with it!

woah , sorry i didnt proof read befor i sent. What i meant to say was , does the original 2000 have better quality parts over the xl? And if so what parts.

2000xl has a tilt screen,different jog wheel and casing from the 2000.Both have shit!y knobs which get loose from time to time and same lcd which might have lines after many years of over-use.

Ive owned a 2000 for over 10 years, and made many songs with it. one thing i noticed about the the xl when it came out was the new data wheel. I never thought the design of it and how it was set up to scroll according to speed was very functional. of coarse its all what you become accustomed to, but i still think the 2000's 2 piece datawheel was much quicker and more accurate. a friend of mine had a 2000, and switched to the xl and always regretted it fo that reason. other than that, the xl has a tilt screen. not much else is that different.

I bought a 2k classic a while back as my first mpc. I absolutely love it. The classic and xl (from what I have researched) are essentially the same unit. The xl just has a little bit more advantage (tilt screen, chopping etc.), and rightfully so being a newer unit. The only reason I am slightly leaning toward getting an xl is because since it doesn't have the tilt screen, I have to set my mpc down at a lower level, and I have a bad back so I can't be hunched over it for too long.

The XL sequencer memory was increased by 3x from the 100,000 events to 300,000,
the XL can resample a sound with a different bit depth or sampling rate,
Samples stored on the XL doubled to 256,
The XL has file folder management,
it also has a Flash based OS so you don't have to load the OS from floppy disk everytime you switch on the XL.
