Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

No, that one is not hot-swappable. As I mentioned earlier, nobody is still selling a hot-swappable ATAPI card reader. Any IDE/ATAPI card reader you see for sale these days will be a non-hot-swappable unit and it will be limited to 1GB of storage space. Unlike our CF-CARD SCSI card reader drive, that allows you to use up to 16GB CF cards and both an MPC2000 Classic or MPC2000XL can use it all! See sig below for more info.

why dont you buy a 1 dollar CF to IDE adapter on ebay then... in fact those sellers from china used to have deals like 5 for 3 bucks. I got a working one for the fun of it and it wound up being like $2.50 including shipping...

the downside is that you need to make your own bracket to mount it inside but if you're cheap you're cheap... haha

If you want the best of the best and you want 100% confirmation that it works... and if you want support.. go with scsiforsamplers. Or you could play around and trial and error could wind up costing you more in the long run.

I don't know if that model is compatible or not. There are so many different IDE-to-CF adapters being made that it is highly possible no one has ever tried that particular model with an MPC. I'd say the chances are good that it will be compatible but until you buy it and try it, you just won't know for sure.
