Zipdrive inside mpc2000xl

ah.. I have a scsi hard drive with 16gb storage that works on my mpc2000xl.

I just wanted to try to load beats from a zipdisk that i saved on my mpc2000 a year ago. Ive always had problems with zipdrives. I never had a zipdrive that was working fine. My mpc2000 couldn't load beats from a zipdrive, but it was only possible to save..

I finally bought a mpc2000xl with an internal zipdrive (doesn't work..) and a loose SHIFT button (GRRR) one week ago. Now i can save on a 16gb hard drive instead of saving on floppys.. this is already an improvement. I should buy a cardreader though (a $1.00 cardreader What the **??) I really dont care if it looks ugly..

That will not allow hot swapping of the CF cards though, which in having a hard drive as well, would probably not really be an issue for you.

If you want hot swap, you might have to pay around $50.

If I remember correctly, hold the Zip eject button when you power up the MPC. It should pop out then.
I'm going to sell my 2000XL so for now I'm swapping out my SCSI card reader (sell for extra cash) and reinstalling a Zip750 drive.
