Yes, the one in your link is the right one. That is Tip/Sleeve (TS), what you are probably referring to as unbalanced...

You do not want Tip/Ring/Sleeve (TRS), what you are probably referring to as balanced.

Made to send a mono RCA signal into a stereo TRS 1/4" input, to split the mono RCA signal into both sides of the stereo 1/4" input, or vice versa, combine both sides of a stereo 1/4" output signal into a mono RCA.

As far as I know adaptors can't combine audio signals, to do this requires a mixer.

They can, but it can apparently damage the outputs, depending on the circuit design.

To do it properly you need to use a basic circuit with a couple of resistors.
