yeah, the autochop thing is cool because it's almost like an easter egg if you never thought to do that, or if you didn't have a sample of the right length at the time of trying it out and it didn't work but then you stumbled upon it etc..
but I never found it useful..
however that being said, pushing pads in the disk menu is nice...
I seem to think that if you have 16 levels on how in the classic you need to make sure you push the original sample's pad (say the 16 levels is of a sample assigned to pad 5) while you are in params to edit the filter or that stuff... or else even though you push a different pad and it plays the same sample, it actually effects the sample assigned to the pad outside of 16 levels that you pushed... I think on the xl that doesn't happen but I can't remember for sure... on the classic it could be better to exit 16 levels for a minute to make sure you are affecting the right pad.
