Its pretty easy to do - Think zip drive installation (IDE)...U aware of this mod? That info is here for sure

btw, you don't need OS 1.2 for a SCSI card reader, only IDE.

SCSI used to be faster back in the days. How is the SCSI card read/write speed comparable to the IDE?

Who cares? All you are doing is loading and saving to disk. It's not like you are doing hard disk recording/streaming.

I was more thinking of loading a pgm file with a huge amount of samples during a liveset.

it would be sweet if they could implement resample, and normalize. You know they can, they are just lazy bastards and dont wanna give away free shit.

Don't do it. Get all the files in the machine before you start. Speaking from experience. If 32 Meg is not enough, you can always slap another 32 Meg with it in the form of an S2000, which should run you about $150.

Next week I will be taking the S5000 w/256Meg along with the MPC out on a gig.
