Custom Paint Job

Sanding the rust back and then putting a clear enamel over the top would've been nice. How come you didn't do something like that?

would the enamel protect from rust? does it need to be for metal?


also the front cap is plastic, so that would have to be painted black or something, but i have nothing against that.

What paint is the best : spray can paint or brush paint ??

i used spray paint on 2 separate occasions, but i bet with a brush and some creativity, you could get nice.

They make a crstal clear enamel. just sand the rust off and cover it with enamel.

I work in a R & D Lab and one of the products they are working with in a non-hazardouse paint stripper. Stripping it is easy. I just used my job because it was free but you van go to autozone and get a can of autimotive paint stripper for about six bucks that'll do the job in about fifteen minutes ( but make sure you you remove all the clear plastic tabs from inside the case and don't get the stuff on plastic or your skin cuz it buuuuuuurns.) As far as getting a mask "lasered" I happen to know someone that has a laser engraver that is masking off the cover then he actually lasers the graphics through the mask and top layers of paint. Its not somthing the average person is going to find to do but its reeeally precise and sharp so it looks pro. 'm thinking of offering to do the paint jobs and the masking if I get any interest from you guys. I'm waiting until I have the finished pics of mine I've go a few interesting touches I've added (since people are giving me the business about the effect from the flash, I want them to see how it really looks and decide how good you think my work is) but it would involve you sending me the cover
