I'm going to guess that the step edit - decay value on the mpc loop is too long/high. drop the count by ten and try again. If it does the same thing drop it by another ten. Try again. If it plays normal after that but has a slight gap at the end of the 4 bars then raise up the decay value 1-2 and try again a few more times until it plays fine with no gap at the end AND it keeps going every 4 bars.

I usually don't let my loops decay overlap each other anymore than 6 ticks. Anymroe than that on the 2kxl and it will act just the way you initially said.

Hi,

i´ve got the same problem as Metaphysician. The MPC stops every time if the loop starts for 2 bars, next round it plays, next time it stops. This shit makes me sick.

I got this problem with Cubase SX3, with Reason 3 anything works fine. I´ve tried anything about Timecode, Midiclock and MMC, i´ve done any combinations, it must work!! With SX1 and 2 anything was finde too. Damnit.

Anybody know a method to kill this problem?

Mode: Midi Time Code

Recieve MMC: On

That works perfectly for me.

I dont produce that way any more, Instead I use an EMU esi-32 as a sound module with my mpc and my midi keyboard. Works better for me. Then after I just track everything into pro tools and mix down there.
