Cats Frontin On the MPC-2000XL

I`ve master all of them.

Some people say the 60/3000 sound better, but I've played with both, I like them all, but I am partial with the XL.. Not becausae it's what I own (I could have bought any mpc), but it has what I need. The 60/3000 don't have much. I actually like the timestretch feature of the XL. I don't know why some people say it sounds thin.. My drums knock. Most people that have the older mpc are just trying to justify why they spent the money on them... especially if they paid more than 2 grand for a 3000, they have to have something good to say about it. Ask them to play some beats, that will tell you the truth.
People will like whatever they feel comfortable with. It's not about what machine "sounds' better.. it's not about how many features sometihng has. If you can make a casio sing, why would you need anything more? Because you want a dirtier sound??? I know people that WONT use an MPC because they like their boss sp-303's. Some of you cats need to stop loathing gear, and try making some music. Bashing MPC's on an MPC site is straight wack. Just because you own a mpc____ doesn't mean everything else is doo-doo.. that was your choice.... do we all have to be like you. Should I sell my XL just because you don't use it?
In any case, let me be the one to say all MPC's are the shit. I've NEVER heard an MPC that couldn't make a good beat, but Roger linns name on the box doesn't mean you wack beats will sound great... and I don't care how much grittier your drums are.

I agree with Roxstar that people brag about their vintage equipment to justify spending a shitload of cash on different samplers only to find out that there isn't a magic button on them. At the end of the day, its all about what comes out of the speakers. The average listener/fan doesn't give a shit about the year your sampler was made.

Why the mpc3k users have often a lot of samplers? And why they're often older mpc2k(xl) users too?

what does more accurate than midi mean: say if you had a
groove box(sequencer), sound module, drummachine etc etc. the groove box sequencer is controlling the sound module, drummachine, keyboard via midi cables and those are individually routed to a mixer.

If you had an MPC and sampled everthing into the mpc then made sequences from there it is alot tighter because nothing is controlled via midi cables the samples are being triggered inside the mpc by the sequencer as aposed to being controlled externally via midi cables. so the sounds are connected to the sequencer instead of controlled by it.

Let them catz keep frontin. An MPC 60?? No thanks. I don't care what people that own them say or people that say they are the bomb because they read about them in these forums. I would choose an XL all day long. It use to be my 2nd favorite MPC. Now, the MPC 3000 was my all time favorite MPC. Not because people over hyped the sound. It is a solid drum machine/sampler and MIDI sequenecer. It has no special thrills and gets the job done. It would still be my MPC of choice had not the 2500 dropped. The 2500 is like my two favorite MPCs (MPC 3000 and 2000XL)combined in one. Best features of both MPCs with a dash of the 4000/1000.
