i use one either, bought on turnkey for 99 £ this year (the tips came from mpc forum 
).
a really great filter, multi-poles , high , band, low, nootch pass.
there is an eq ( really not that usefull), a distortion (could be better), and a phaser (interresting).
you can filter two signal at the same time : one in mono, one in stereo.
there is an Lfo, and an ADSR env included.
his sound is comparable to the sherman filterbank and the electrix filterqueen.
there were some posts on it, in the mpc studio.. section on this forum.
perfect for basses, filtering and isolating some range frenquencies in a sample (but it is not is primary purpose).
on a french sound forum, ppl made some demo sounds for comparating filters :

i m going to make the same test than the exlectrix, then you will have an idea of how it sounds (well kinda, as there is a lot of way of using it)
there is also the sherman filterbank
it was a huge discution about filters, it comes that the mfc 42 is probably one of the best for filtering without altering the "taste" of the sample (more harmonics can pass).
the sherman seems to be more aimed at creative filtering
and the elextrix seems simply a good filter.
the lfo is syncable on the beat. it is a true midi filter ( even if i found it is a nightmare for sending midi scene setting (knob setting before sending signal into it).
anyway i dont have it since a long time, so i am still discovering it. and i am enjoying it.
