URGENCE: cf reader problem, mpc doesn't work!!

I didn't know because I'm new in the XL model.
It's a great featuring;
-Can I create "unlimited" folders in a 1gb card?
or There is a maximum of folders by card (like 16 or something like this)?
-There does'nt exist problems if I save a lot of kits,files, sounds, etc in only 1 card (can it f$$k some files sometimes o do some incompabilities?)?

Exactly make a new folder for every new beat. Not using folders is a definite nono; your MPC will report your cf card to be full even when there is still loads of free space.

I got 1.14 os on my xl and 'atapi' never even shows up on the load screen. I've played around w/ the jumper settings and nothing seems to work. I've resigned myself to floppies for the time being, but I really wanna switch to the card reader. Any suggestions? Really- I'd appreciate anything.
