@ ghettobhuddist, I'm sorry, but that was a dumb azz question. Yo, on the real, you can sample whatever you hear from another source. So don't think/limit your creativity to just percussion samples aiight?

Dude....You live in FW - I'm in Renton WA...we're like 10 minutes away.

Dont let the fact that you asked a really stupid question get you down... to answer - Yes you can sample ANYTHING you want. ANYTHING that makes sounds you can sample into the MPC and tweek the sounds.

I suggest you go onto Youtube and look up MPC2000xl and see what people are doin with it.

Let me know if you want some lessons, I only charge $40/hr :D

besides samplin drum sounds, i use my XL to sample old 8mm home movies and play' em back on family night!
