i have win vista home premium service pack 1 32bit and i have disabled the User Account Control

So that's error 7.... Easy fix.

Extract the contents of this zip, then run the installer.

The installer can't find the support files because you are running it from within a random temporary folder when you open it that way. Drag these files out of the zip and it will install fine. Not a Vista-specific issue.

That's odd. If you want, send me a NFO file for this computer so i can see more details about the error and your system specs. This should give us some clues.

Darn... can't read German.

I dont' see anything popping out at me. It looks liek your device drivers are up-to-date, but I also see a significant amount of errors in Windows Error reporting from various programs.


What is this LaunchAnywhere application?

If you close unneeded applications, disable or close your security software, then try the install. does this work?

Have you received errors with any other installs?

Is this the MPCEditor 3.0.36 installer or an earlier version?


You might also want to try reinstalling Windows Installer. I have seen that be a bit flaky in Vista:

man i almost thought i never get it installed, but now .... everything works. thanks to koncepticon

Wow, wish I could help, but I ditched windows back in NT4 days. MpcEditor was written under NT4 and WindowsMe. Been doing Linux development since then. Never even owned XP, yes, an old fart. I will try to gather this info into a FAQ for the MpcEditor.
