I know you are going to kick yourself for not knowing or thinking of this
but, "subtractive gain" try that. Meaning, turn the OTHER tracks down a bit so that the snare
hits harder. That is an actual technique.
Ya know, volume all the rest down in the mixer, leave the snare alone, of course. If you need the
track louder, then handle that with the mpc knob or in your DAW.
