Well, I do get that ceiling feel also, but honestly I think that its for a good reason. I mean, all that sampling space and 000's of features and available effects you get with a DAW, oh man, they just succeed in distructing me all the time. All I wanna do is simple boom bap hiphop. And by having in my hands millions of options doesn't help me in my quest at all. Limitations are for a reason: to keep you focused on your target. Always remember that Premo has made sick beats with just 2,5 secs of sampling capacity...

yup, i dont have any problems, i have a card reader. there's always enuff room for samples. sample in mono if u wanna save room. u can also sample 33's at 45 speeed and tune it back down. it saves memory and gives the sample a more grimier fuller sound

damn that last idea there is pretty ingenious if i do say so myself. ill give that a try. when my ram comes in, i'll spend some time with the xl but for now i guess there isnt a whole lot to do other than play with the sequencer against my synths.
