The 60 has really good pads for leaving full level off. You don't have to hit it hard to get full level or lighten up for different volumes.

the 3000 takes a hard hit to get full.

Doesn't the 1000 have adjustable sesnativity?

the xl is hard to get a full level sound, you gotta hit it hard to get to even 100..... when you hit it normal it would go from about 25-50 max..

I dont know it could just be my pads......I bought mine second hand but its in mint cond except one of the pad(top left is) is much much worn than all other pads.. Could be that the user use that particular pad when trimmin and looping

Anyways. Getting back to the original question... have you tried the 16 levels? It's a great way to get an exact velocity without having to edit hits later on.

...don't forget that if u use the full level, then the velocity in the tracks cannot be changed......

I have said it before and I will say it again!!!

YOU CAN ADJUST THE VELOCITY SENSITIVITY OF EACH PAD IN THAT PADS SETTING IN THE MPC!!!

If you set it to low (im not sure of the exact setting) that means if you hit it at 50 or 100 then the velocity difference will be less noticable so your playing style wil sound smoother on the pads...

You could even make your Hats more sensitive than your kicks and snares to add some fee...

Damn, I forgot, you can do that on the 60 as well.

I dont quite understand what youre tryin to say... I know you can set the velocity of each pad but what youre saying is something different. Can you tell me how you do it?

best way is to go to 16 levels, choose the pad, then the velicity. Then pick your pad with the velocity you want.

Very good for hihat because you can use like 3 or 4 differant pads to get a more randomness to your hihats.

I think it's in program, velocity to volume or level or some shit.
