Note variation slider

My sh*t still doesn't work. I really need to know if my sh*t is broken or I'm just not doing it right...


I have the 2k and I do everything you say. Once I assign a pad to it it changes the pitch. However it stays at that pitch and doesn't change when I move the slider at all. If I record a sequence and use the "After" function while moving the slider, nothing happens. WTF? I like....really wanna use the sh*t. Is this user error or a system malfunction?

press shift and note variation. The screen is waiting for you to choose a pad to assign the slider to. when you choose a sound, then you can choose the parameter, attack, decay, filter, detune. Then that pad will sound different when you keep hitting the pad and moving the slider up and down. Damn i just looked at it and it made sense. you can control the effects that the slider has before or after. So you can assign the slider to a pad, the green light goes on for AFTER, if it doesnt , its on PRESENT, and you have to hit it again.

maybe cuz it was treated like a focus fader. which it ain't.

originally in the mpc 60 it was used to control the decay on the hihats..i think..

Also on the xl you can trim like what was said a little earlier.

I use it to pitch up/down short short samples while recording in accordance with the manual Pg 19 2kxl manual.

hey i thought i was the only one! my slider don't work either what's up with that? is it cuz i'm running os 1.14?

I don't think so. I'm running the latest version and the sh*t just doesn't want to work. Is there like a video online somewhere showing how to use the sh*t?

u hold shift then press the after button while holdin it. then when the screen pops up u pick which pad u want to be effected and what kind of parameter u want, like velocity or tuning. then u hit main screen and its set now hit the sample and move the slider.

the slider is dope. im really feeling the 16 levels today though..

ron du honestly i think ur broken. U hold down shift then while still hold in down u press AFTER. then select what pad. then press the pad and move the slider at the same time. then hit main screen to get back out. pretty simple man.
