I'm not sure what kind of connector is inside the MPC, since I've only opened it up to upgrade the ram and I am using a floppy drive, which is a different kind of cable/connector than a zip drive in PCs. The MPC zip speed would depend on the IDE controller, the bus and the OS. That's why I said max ... because that is, in ideal conditions, what its capable of. You don't need to know if the MPC actually does 6.723mb/s avg with the 750 to see how much faster it is over the 250, which was the point of my quick comparrison.
