arg.roots wrote:xibalba are you prefuse 73? or did u just have his old mpc?

heck no i wish though :(

the mpc came with a crap ton of samples which makes me feel like prefuse does that count?

nah didnt pick it up from him (sh*t i wish) saw the ad on craigslist (just randomly searching for stupid ish, i live in va and the ad was placed in NY) it was his tour DJ putting it up. then saw it on ebay because the ad on craigs was about two weks old.

so i messaged the dude on ebay talked to him for about an hr, did some research to make sure it was legit. he had a couple of pics included that showed him signing it dose has got em now.

it came with a lot of shit'

mpc2kxl grafed by prefuse
an old a$$ official akai bag that perfectly fit the 2kxl
internal zip disk installed with a zip full of prefuse samples (mostly drum hits) there were some really really small loops unrecognizable according to the tour dj it was from when he made one word extinguisher
couple of pics of him grafin it.
8 outs installed
and ram maxed

there were a couple of minor downsides when i got it, the data wheel was on the fritz but i was able to fix it by installing a new one and well the rubber pads were made used and dirty, had to clean that out.

i think i kept it for about three or four mths then just couldnt really justify keeping it any longer. so sold it to dose and he has had it ever since.

I don't know fellas!!!
Most of you like that grimey, rugged, battle-mode look.....which is cool!
My gears has to either be real bling-bling or keep the factory look! I'd love
to have a spiffy Forat job, but unless I do, nothing else is good enough for
me! Not even those skins! Well the solid black skin, with black pads and
front panel would be ill! I just don't like the lettering in the top right corner
of the skin!

Other than my opinion for "my" own gear.....do your thang fellaz.....creativity
and individuality rules!

You can customize your MPC2000 with whatever you want for $60 on our website and apply it yourself in fifteen minutes. We use a removable vinyl and then laminate it with a very durable top layer.

We currently have the 2000XL up and we will have the original 2000 up in one week.

Check out this 4000 we just flipped
