lol @ this os thread,.,. tic toc.,.,yea I'm aware that tap tempo an erase will erase what u want erased.,.,but thats how i go abt doin drop outs.,.,jus copy and make a new sequence wit ya drops.,.,if its hiphop the majority of the time u mainly f*ckin wit a 4-8 bar loop and droppin in and out sounds.,.,thats sorta how i work.,.,and yea tic toc, i was askin in the other room abt program changes.,.,not like i really use it cuz i maneuver fine the way i make beats, but i found it interesting cuz its something i didn't know about my mpc.,.,thats why i inquired.,.,so yea shed the light if u do know about program changes.,.,.,Sh*t I'm not knockin ur method, i jus feel its a lil too much to get what u relaly want.,.,when in all actuality if ur beat was loaded up into a multi-trak program, u would have all control over drops and mutin things in an out.,.,

Word.

Personally, I just program mutes manually into the sequences, so when it gets to song mode, its finalized and I can sit back and burn one while it tracks out to tape.

Tic Toc, u work wit a 2xl right? if u program a mute 2 a sound, isn't that mute limited to cuttin off only 2 assigned sounds.,.,.afta that u would have to make anotha pad wit a mute on it? am i right? or do you maneuver another way?

Only thing I want is to be able to resample, besides that you can shove that os up your ass....

How? I want to take a sound edit it, add filters, effect then sample that to as a new wav. This way I can reuse effects for a different sound if I wanted.

My asr-x has this feature and it is of guys hismon. I can edit sound any way I want then hit resample button, hit sound i edited, then assign it to a pad, wahlah, i have sound just how I want and can use effects for other sounds.

there's only one filter on the XL, so you couldnt "Add filters".

You can resample to lower bit-depth or lower samplerate. Its in the manual. Resampling? yes. Resampling with effects? no.

Exactly! you can resample with different bit but that's about it, I want to resample after i tweak sound just how I want it, with filters & effects.
So, until they release os that can do that, like the 2500 can, they can shove new O.S. up their ass..............
But sure they want as that's one of there selling points of the 25k, it's resampling ability as stated above.

or just add the ability to sample from the main outs............

Cant you just tweak inside CoolEdit or Soundforge or Wavelab, save as wav and load the wav into the MP?

Or sample from MP to CoolEdit/SF/WL and then do the same...

And thats why I love the asrxpro. Thats what u would call resampling, not the bullshyt resampling the XL can do

I got the AsrXpro too. If you can master that you can master any machine. That mutha can be a pain in the a$$ but has a great analog sound to it. It was my first major sampling sequencer. Still got many beats on it thats fire too. But the functionality of the 2000 and 2000xl is far more superior in my opinion.
